Compensation for Accepted Submissions

Our team values the time and research that contributors pour into their work. To acknowledge this effort, we offer financial compensation for articles selected for publication:
$100 for short-form pieces (500+ words)
$250 for in-depth analysis (1500+ words)

Please note: Authors receive payment exclusively for articles that are accepted and published. Our editorial team reviews all submissions which undergo evaluation based on originality, relevance, and alignment with our mission.

Submission Process

Flexible Word Count – Opinion pieces (500+ words) and in-depth analyses (1,500+ words) are welcome. Your work will help shape the conversation on ethical campaigning and contribute to a growing body of knowledge in the field!

Choose Your Topic

Your article topic should align with IFEC’s mission and may cover areas such as ethical campaigning, campaign finance reform, civic engagement, post-election reflections, youth activism, and intern perspectives among other related subjects.

Review Our Guidelines

Word count: 500–1,500+ words. Tone: Informative, accessible, and non-partisan. Citations: Include sources where applicable. File format: Please provide your submission in either Word or Google Doc format.

Include a Short Bio

Your article needs to be accompanied by a short bio that should be 1–2 sentences in length. It’s optional to add your social media handle to your submission.

Email Your Submission

Email article to spinkney@forethicalcampaigning.org and use this subject line: “Article Submission – [Your Full Name]”

Await Feedback

Our team will evaluate all received submissions and contact you about acceptance and editorial changes within one to two weeks.
